During an expedition to Iceland, professor Trevor Anderson (Brendan Fraser), his nephew Sean (Josh Hutcherson) and their guide, Hannah (Anita Briem), get trapped in a cavern. As they follow their only escape route deeper and deeper below the Earth's surface, they pass through strange places and encounter incredible creatures, including dinosaurs. But as volcanic activity around them increases, they realize they must find their way out -- soon.

I was very disappointed because it was announced in 3D and even the description said the same thing. However, when we went to the theater, it was not in 3-D and didn't say anything before we bought the tickets. I didn't ask because it was advertised 3-D everywhere. The movie wasn't half as good as the original. I found it to be a little boring. It had some exciting parts but there is only so much you can do with only three people throughout most of the movie.
