When Gerry (Gerard Butler), the husband of Holly Kennedy (Hilary Swank), dies from an illness, she loses the love of her life. Knowing how hard Holly will take his death, Gerry plans ahead. Beginning on her 30th birthday, she receives the first in a series of letters written by him, designed to ease her grief and encourage her to move forward to a new life.

I absolutely loved this movie! It actually made me laugh & cry all at the same time. I will definitely see it again & buy it as soon as it comes out on video!! It IS worth seeing in the theatre! It was also nice to see Gerard Butler (one of my favorite actors) in a drama/romance instead of swinging a sword for once :) Although he does that VERY well also! Hope he does more like this one in the future. Only I hope he actually lives in the next one AND keeps the girl ;)

I for sure would watch this movie again in a heart beat.
is funny but touching and sweet at the same time. I cried quite a few times and is great for going on a date. i fully incurage you to watch this movie. Expecally on a date!
