When Adrienne Willis (Diane Lane) arrives at the coastal town of Rodanthe, N.C., her life is in chaos. There, she hopes to sort through the trouble surrounding her, while tending a friend's inn for the weekend. The only guest at the inn is Dr. Paul Flanner (Richard Gere), a man tormented by a crisis of conscience. As a storm approaches the coast, Paul and Adrienne find comfort and a life-changing romance.

Although the theater was packed. I found my self saying, under my breath, Blah, blah, blah... oh come on Hollywood do you really think we're nieve enough to think you can fall in love in 4 days, that you truly know someone so well after only 3 days that you sleep with them. It was the same old mesage, Love is based on feelings. That it's ok to have sex, not discipline your kids and everything will be okay. It was all I could do to not walk out. Some people cried. I was crying that I spent seven dollars.
The acting was the only thing I enjoyed so I give it a 1.5 stars.
