Acclaimed filmmaker Werner Herzog travels to Antarctica, where he finds a desolate, beautiful landscape, largely untouched by human hands, and a group of truly unique people who risk their lives to study it. Centered at McMurdo Station, the United States' largest Antarctic research center, Herzog explores the minds of the scientists willing to abandon civilization and endure volatile conditions to learn more about the continent's wildlife and awe-inspiring natural wonders.

Herzog has been called a "Professional Madman". I wouldn't necessarily agree, but he is a remarkable Documentary film maker, who manages to see and present things that others overlook.
In this film, he takes you to see a portrait of Antarctica unlike any you've seen before, yet far more representative of the people who live and work down there. You get to see what they do, and how and why. The under water photography is haunting and unforgettable.
This place, at the end of the world, is unlike any other you'll see in fiction or in fact and probably one that you will never get to see any other way.
Don't miss it!
