When single executive Kate Holbrook (Tina Fey) decides the time is right to finally have a baby, she hires a working-class woman (Amy Poehler) from South Philadelphia to act as her surrogate mother. However, Kate's careful planning goes out the window when the woman shows up on her doorstep needing a place to live. A comic battle of wills breaks out between the pair as they prepare for the blessed event and try not to kill one another in the process.

as a fan of these ladies, I went in expecting the funniest of films. When I went to see it, however, I was slightly disappointed. It wasn't a bad movie, really, but all the funny parts were in the previews. It actually turned out to be a more serious movie then the comercials let on.
I rate this a B, and really suggest that folks rent it, rather then pay a ton to see it. Don't go in expecting a comedy It's more a story with ups and alot of downs then anything.
It's good...just not what you are led to believe it'll be.

It was pretty funny. The only problem was they showed all the hilarious parts on TV. When they showed in the movie, everybody was actually saying the part...that kinda sucked! Overall good movie though...
