Inkheart

Mo (Brendan Fraser) and his daughter, Meggie, have the ability to bring storybook characters to life just by reading aloud. That gift backfires when he accidentally summons Capricorn, the evil villain of the novel "Inkheart." Mo and Meggie must find a way to send him back to his literary realm, but the task will not be easy, for the malefactor likes his new world and will not leave it voluntarily.

Meh...

Mediocrity at its "finest" nothing particularly bad about this movie, there's plot holes, and some cheesy gimmicks, but all in good fun. The casting was decent, and had I not punished myself by watching the most recent "Mummy" movie I might have liked Brenden Fraiser's character a bit more. In general the acting seemed forced on his part, but I couldn't figure out if that was part of the character design and decided to give into that and assume so... As everyone coming out of the theater said, "Why didn't he just read a Batman Comic and whoop the B'Jesus out of the bad guys?

Well aside from the Brendan, the rest of the cast was decently picked. I personally thought most of the "Extras" did a better job of the mains. "Cockerell" in particular was a very distracting and well played character, its lucky he was, for the red hair really stood out in all his participating scenes, and had he been poor in anything, it would have stood out like a sore thumb... Like the main antagonist... I know that his character was supposed ot be a weak thief that rose to power, but seriously... He was too weak. Even I felt like I could take him, and I don't think any of his henchmen would step in to help either...

Anyways, its worth a see if you're in a more flexible open minded mood, I.E. drunk... Or happen to have time literally to to nothing. But I think you would probably be better off wasting 2 hours of your life on another movie.

Hmm,

I didn't like this movie. I thought the acting was absolutely terrible, and it's like Bedtime Stories, with Adam Sandler. My daughter said it was bad too, and she's 8.

Don't Miss This
