Connor (Sean Patrick Flanery) and Murphy MacManus (Norman Reedus) have been living in Ireland for several years, working on a farm with their father (Billy Connolly). When they learn they've been charged with the murder of a Roman Catholic priest, the brothers travel to Boston to clear their names. Along the way, they meet Romeo (Clifton Collins Jr.), a street fighter who joins them in their quest to find Concezio Yakavetta (Judd Nelson), a mobster who they think is really behind the murder.

An enthusiastic movie-goer I have wide tastes; I love a great drama and, movies where "stuff just blows up." - Depends on your mood, your expectations and the genre. I would add that I've only left a few movies in my entire life but, Boondock Saints II is one of them. Without blaming the actors who struggle through a horrible screenplay and horrible dialogue, this movie is incoherent, wildly profane and after 50 minutes I realized I didn't care about any of the characters or what happened to them. I think the director was after a "RocknRolla" or "Snatch" or "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" type film-Cool Irish/English gangsters, an improbable plot, lots of hardware, plenty of blood and some laughs-good stuff if you're in the mood. BS II does not have these qualities. Billy Connolly has only a minor role unfortunately, appearing little. This movie's a dog.
