This series needs to die a horrible death.Upon a nudge from a friend i read the twilight books and damnit if they weren't boring as they could possibly be.The movies are no better.how long can 1 person mope?
How long can u drag us into the same conversations with slightly diferrent wording over and over???
The books and movies are tailored to met a certain crowd and oohh boy do they love this junk. despite the fact that the plot (in books and movies) is as redundant as hell. The whole love conquers all cliche is well past its expiration date please let it die in peace.
The ending is depressing I assure you.its so cliche un-imaginative and typical for this series that u will cry for all your wasted time and money.

If you were a hundred+ years old, been through a couple wars, seen the world progress over the century... Why oh why would you bother with the trite goings ons of a boring 16 year old girl? I'm 32 and I am annoyed to no end by your average teenager...
Edward is either a pedophile or a retarded vampire. He's decided to waste his immortality lurking in high school? Really? What a creepy pedophile. Unless his brain is frozen as a teenager, then he's be 100+ years old with a 16 year olds' brain... That's pretty much the clinical definition of mental retardation.
The only reason it seems "ok" is cause he 'looks' young... But C'mon, this is liek your GREAT Grandfather picking up on 16 year olds... You want to talk about breaking boundaries and "Love overcomes all" would you still feel the same it is was George H. W. Bush Senior porking cute little Bella? and George is nearly 20 years younger than Edward... (Been known to feed on the blood of live animals too...) but if he "Loved" her.. it'd be ok?
Come on...

Love this movie, have seen it 3 times so far.
Can't wait for the next two movies of the series, have read all four books three times and highly recommend doing so; so much more detail that could not go into movies due to time restraints.

After watching this film several (and by several I mean daily since it came out) times, I believe it to be an abstract retelling of the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. I'd elaborate, but I feel I wouldn't do either film justice.

I feel this whole series is a modern day Romeo & Juliette. There is so much intense passion going on, it's awesome!

Couldn't resist saying that ,of course. I think they did a very good job with the movie, getting the story line right. I would have liked Seth to have more lines at the end since (spoiler alert)he was the 15 yr. old who thought he was being punished by guarding the tent and wound up saving the day. Looking forward to the next one.

This review definitely is biased. I have tried to read the first book, I watched the first two movies for the sake of a friend who can't get enough of it, & the Twilight series is just plain not for me.
I went into this flick hoping that the good laughs (which I did receive) would outweigh the bad, but I ended up feeling as lifeless as the actors desperately trying to scrounge up some form of chemistry for two hours. That being said, Billy Burke (Bella's father) was Eclipse's saving grace; his downtrodden, awkward, sarcastic form of love was done quite well.
I will say it was fanfare. Fan's of the series get exactly was they want: shirtless shape-shifters, awkward-yet-romantic vampires, Bella's helpless demeanor & emotionally abusive tendencies towards both of the guys she loves, it's all there. If you aren't a fan don't bother, but if you are then rush to the theater as fast as humanly possible, because this is going to be the greatest movie you see all year!

The hype for Eclipse is well deserved. Purchased tickets the first day they went on sale. Waited in line for 3 hours to get a great seat. No regrets!! Can't wait for the Breaking Dawn movies!
