Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) is an honorable family man, until the day his wife and daughter are murdered in a home invasion. He hopes for justice, but a rising prosecutor named Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx) cuts a deal with one of the killers in exchange for testimony. Ten years later, that man is found dead and Shelton coolly admits his guilt. Then he hands Rice an ultimatum: Fix the broken legal system or suffer the consequences.

Ok this is a vigilante style movie nothing special about that, but there is enough twists to keep it interesting even if u are a veteran of those types of movies.overall acting and plot is good.its o movie that can in a way make u cheer for the Main charater even though he kills people whom are good in a sense and yet bad.(depending on your point of view)so worth a watch just for the debate factor.

Sometimes violent, sometimes shocking, we had to agree that this was one of the best movies we've seen in a long time.

The entire premise of the movie was so unbelievable that it took away from the entire movie. Why haven't these filmakers come up with something on the level of a movie that gave better thought to the script. This movie was not good.

From start to finish this movie pulled me in. It's not only convincing, risible and capricious, but has a vindictive appeal that I'm sure any family or non family man / woman can adapt to. Butler should get an award after this one, and Fox has obviously matured as an actor as he too did a fine job. I would've spent twice as much to see this movie had I known how awesome it was. Enjoy!
