A devotee of the dark arts, Blackwood has a bigger scheme in mind, and his execution plays right into his plans. The game is afoot when Blackwood seems to rise from the grave, plunging Holmes and Watson into the world of the occult and strange technologies.

The setting with all the great costumes was the best part of the movie. Unfortunately I never could connect with any of the characters, Holmes to me felt like a mixture of a wannabe Johnny Depp and Sylvester Stallone. People seemed to loose interest quickly and I really never got the plot, what was it anyway? Sorry, this movie didn't work for me. Very disappointing.

I was really looking forward to this movie and it didnt pull through. I felt uninterested. I was enjoying the mystery of it but it fell short. I wouldnt want my friends to waste their time seeing it. People fell asleep in the theatre through the movie. That in itself says enough.

I think I was more amazed at the scenery and costumes than of the plot. The story wasn't that interesting and there weren't very many funny jokes. Nothing was really engaging and I didn't really connect with any of the characters. Maybe the best part of the movie is when Holmes and Watson are walking down an alley eating fish 'n chips.. now I'm craving fish 'n chips!
