At a rundown desert motel, Agnes (Ashley Judd) begins a tentative relationship with a newcomer named Peter (Michael Shannon) . He has a strange charisma, one that offers fearful and unstable Agnes a flicker of hope. When Peter reveals that the military deliberately infected him with a bug and that he has tiny insects crawling under his skin, paranoia begins to envelope the desperate pair.

The movie starts out with about 25 mins of Ashley Judd smoking outside her sleezy motel room listening to a ringing phone which she sometimes picks up and sometimes doesnt. The movie doesnt get ANY better after that. It is a totally insane story line and the characters suck! When I went to see "Bug", there were about 25 people in the theater. When the movie was over, everyone sat around and talked about how horrible the movie was. I felt 'dumber' for suffering through it. Save your brain cells and do NOT go see this movie. I wish I hadn't.
