Realistic and yet touching, Chico Teixeira's ALICE'S HOUSE feels like a documentary, a fly on the wall look at the most urban side of Brazil's Sao Paulo. Perfectly acted by the entire "family", the cast is lead by the luminous Carla Ribas, winner of just about every best actress award out there, and deserver of an Academy nod.
Well worth your time.
