In the age of heroes, a mighty warrior named Beowulf (Ray Winstone) arrives at the court of King Hrothgar (Anthony Hopkins) and offers to rid the kingdom of a vicious demon called Grendel. He successfully slays the beast but thus incurs the wrath of Grendel's mother (Angelina Jolie), a creature as vicious and vengeful as she is seductive.

This time it's not the blue and red lens. And you get to keep the wonderfully nerdy black frames to use for your next Halloween costume!
There is no reason to watch the Beowulf movie unless if you are watching the 3D version. The pain the viewers must have felt watching it without the awesome powers of 3D. There were some good scenes, a lot of blood and gore, and the detail during certain scenes was really good.
I'm still surprised that the film got a PG13 rating, there was so much blood and body riping! Perhaps CG blood and bodies doesn't rate the same as "real" bodies.
I definitely say this 3D movie was an interesting experience. Usually you go into movies wondering where the CG has been placed.. but for this movie you're wondering where the real actors come in and where the CG stops.
