Mari and her friend look forward to a holiday at the remote Collingwood lakehouse, but instead an escaped convict (Garret Dillahunt) and his crew kidnap them and later leave them for dead. Mari makes her way back home, where her parents, John (Tony Goldwyn) and Emma (Monica Potter), have unwittingly offered shelter to the thugs. When John and Emma find out what happened to their daughter, they decide to make the strangers rue the day they harmed Mari.

I didnt really like the movie, it started off really good, but then that rape scene just upset me. I thought it was SICK!!!! Oh and the other girl, she didnt even last in the movie very long!!! What was the point of her in it, if she didnt last long?? They should've kept her in longer. I will say that there were parts I liked, but that scene just...it shouldnt have even been in the movie!!!

When I purchased tickets for this movie I thought it was going to be a thriller but not a horror story! This movie had me in shock and literally cold and trembling sitting in my seat! By the time the end came I was ready for someone to pay for the crimes inflicted on the young women who were so savagely and horrifically tortured before one of them finally dies. Revenge under those circumstances was more than welcome for the parents of the surviving girl. In fact the ending was so good the audience cheered! This movie was most certainly the scariest one I have seen in a while.

The three raping and murdering deadbeats in this movie would make Mother Teresa hot for payback. Thank gory goodness most of this film focuses on that! If they tried to do more with it they would have failed. The audience also would have been pissed off. Instead people cheered as the little brother in the film got his, with an extra helping of hatchet to the head! Not family fair but loads of fun for horror flick fans
