When their son Matt (Kyle Gallner) receives a diagnosis of cancer, Sara (Virginia Madsen) and Peter (Martin Donovan) Campbell move to Connecticut to be closer to his doctors. At first all is well, but then Matt becomes increasingly disturbed by what appears to be paranormal activity. Sara turns to a priest for help, and the ghosts are seemingly banished -- but Matt's condition takes a sudden and unexplained turn for the worse, and the lives of Sara and the rest of her family are endangered.

It says it is a true story and if thats the case, God was with that family. This movie is the modern day Poltergiest, but even better. I have not be this satisfied with a movie since I don't know when. I strongly suggest this movie for a date night or slumber party or just for a good scare. I don't recommend anyone under 13 to watch unless they can tell the difference between fact and fiction. My boyfriend and I stayed up two hours after the movie talking about it and mystified. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and throw you right back. This is a MUST SEE MOVIE!

The only problem was the whole time I kept trying to remember what TV show "Matt" had been in and when I got home I looked it up. Was from Veronica Mars, my second favorite TV series of all time..Buffy being first.<g> Anyway if you enjoy spooky movies this one is for you.

A very realistic approach to what a family would do if their only daughter was brutally raped, and tortured. The actors kept the audience on the edge of their seats. The ending was the grand finale. We all clapped , you'll understand when you see the movie..
