I was not too impressed with this movie. There was lots of action, but I honestly couldn't tell what was going on, who was fighting who, and if the bad transformer or if the good transformer was winning. The movie was incredibly too long and a lot of unnecessary and boring scenes could have been deletd out. It was not very wholesome for my 6 year old son, with all the cursing and sexual scenes either. I agree, the first one was better.

Well, at first, everything was going so fast, I couldn't tell what was going on. A little confusing. I think the first one was better. To me, this one was not that great.

i liked the first one but honestly part 2 is way better, its and action packed adventure with some cool transformers who kick butt. I had allot of people telling me that this movie wasn't that good, but i love transformers and i couldn't see how it could be bad so i watched it and man oh man it was well worth my time and money. i liked the old transformer with the cane.. lol that was cool.
All i can say is that when someone tells me that a movie is bad i don't just take thiere word for it, i run out and either rent it or i go to the theater because everyone has their own opinion and from experiance i could have missed out on allot of movies that i love..

It wasn't bad, it wasn't good, it was just a movie. I enjoyed myself, but not as much as other, less hyped, movies I've seen this summer. The first transformers had the plus of being the first time we got to see them, so the plot could be rather lackluster and just seeing awesome robots made up for it. This time, not so much.

I had fun, the movie was a bit more playful than the last one. But by no means better. The robots as a whole seemed inconsistently fragile. Either they can take a nuclear bomb to the face or an M-16 assault rifle fucks em up... Idk, there was enough to keep me interested and amused, but there were a lot of annoying things that really made me scratch my head in confusion. At the beginning of every movie at the theater we go to there's a video of a movie being put together, and at the end the punchline is, "It takes a million calls to make a movie and only one to ruin it" I think this was that movie... there was quite a bit of "Jar Jar Binks - esque" crap added that really didn't need to be in the movie at all.
The sad part is that if they cut out all the crappy bits, this movie would only be like an hour long...
Wait for it to come out on TV if you must see it. but you're really not missing anything by not.

This is a fun movie too watch for the summer. It has action for the guys, love story for the women.
The comedy is a little corny at times. On the other hand the special effects are excellent. And despite the bad reviews of critics dont let them persuade your views. they forget that a movie is made for entertainment which this film does well over 80% said they liked this film as good if not better than the first. so grab some popcorn and the kids and enjoy.

Between the racism, bad jokes, groan worthy dialogue, confusing camera work, uninspired acting, tedious plot, and over load of exposition this movie managed to exceed my expectations of just how bad an expensive movie could be. If you like your movies as shallow as the Colorado River during a drought then this is the movie for you.

This film kept me entertained. The action scenes were great, there were cool special affects, the classic banter between Megatron and Starscream was finally added, not to mention a whole lot of the classic Transformers made appearances.
Now that I've gotten everything I liked out in a nut shell, here is what failed. Every actor in this movie usually performs decently at the least, but the directing was poorly done, thusly making it painful or funny (for all of the wrong reasons) at times. The sense of humor for the most part was terrible or so awkward that I squirmed in my seat. The camera shots were still way too jumpy, especially in action sequences, I can imagine going crossed eyed after watching it in Imax. The film score was well done from an orchestral standpoint, yet they had to tack on a hand full of awful tracks by bands that make you want to punch your radio when you're driving to work. There were also too many plot holes, consistency errors and characters who just, "disappeared," by the end.
Also, when I say there were appearances by a lot of Transformers, I meant it. Many of the Transformers didn't even have lines! On top of that, when most of them spoke, you just wanted to hold your face in your hands and say, "really, that just happened?"
Yes, I have a biased opinion for both the positive and negative because I am a huge Transformers nerd. I pretty much got what I expected from this film: a movie I would only watch to see giant robots from my childhood tear each other apart. Not amazing, but I enjoyed it.

It's Really Good Movie That is My Favorite Movie

This sequel keeps true to the first of the series. I have to say I am a big fan of the Transformers from the 80's. The special effects are AWESOME. Lots of fans of the original cartoon series thinks that they should have kept to many of the original designs but I think it is great that they evolved them to keep true to current times. There are more comedic scenes in this movie than the first. Which is good to break up the action sequences and convey the story rather than make this movie ALL about the action. Go back to the days of being a kid and enjoy the movie for what it is...fun and full of awe and imagination. Transformers is worthy of being a sequel carrying series.
