Let Me In

Bullied at school, neglected at home and incredibly lonely, 12-year-old Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee) spends his days plotting revenge on his tormentors and spends his nights spying on other residents of the apartment complex. His sole friend is Abby (Chloe Grace Moretz), a strange girl who comes out only at nighttime. Both outcasts, the two form a strong bond. When Abby's caretaker disappears amid a series of gruesome murders, Owen begins to suspect that she is hiding a terrible secret.

Basicly it's Twilight the R version

Yep my comment sums it up. just another vampire movie with a different twist than usual. if the young girl in the film wasn't a vampire i would have rated it higher...why???? Because i grow sick of seeing vampire films. The actors yound and old do a respectable job,the Gore isn't over the top and the emotions displayed Have a pull that makes for a ok movie but not great. There is a few jumpy moments but those are to far apart to make it a true horror film.

Oct 05, 2010 - Jennavive.Washington on Let Me In

From the beginning the film has a lot of potential, a little girl turned vampire at a young age, the whole loss of innocents factor. But the story was lost in the pace of a sluggish child's romance novel.

The attempt to remind us when we were little and got picked on but the one bully in school we feared the most and the humiliation we seemed to much more sensitive to when we were in elementary school. Which makes you wonder if those friendship where more real and heartfelt then the ones you have years later or if they just seem that way now. The morbid curiosity of a little boy falling for a “twelve year old" vampire, reality of people dying around him on all sides, the writer tries to shock us with the knowledge that even when we feel I innocent with the lack of life experiences we know pain improves the emotion of pleasure.

The story wasn’t thought out completely when you combine horror with romance you have to maintain the steady balance of pace, I which Let Me In did not achieve. The sluggish cinematography left to much room to enjoy a cat nap and be jolted wake by blood splatter, summing it up majority of the trailers were better than the entire movie.
