Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) is a lovelorn TV producer who, despite a long and arduous search for the perfect mate, is hopelessly single. The battle of the sexes heats up when her employers team her up with Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler), an opinionated TV celebrity who plans to put Abby through the wringer to prove his own theories about what makes men and women tick.

I was not expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised, a good date movie.

I enjoyed this movie much more than I thought I would. It shows how both men and women mess up relationships but always want to blame the other person in a hysterical way. Heigl and Butler's chemistry is great and the supporting cast is excellent to. Definitely a date movie.

We laughed a lot and any comedy that does that is usually pretty good. Was a little dismayed by the one who didn't rate it. Yes, was a little racy in treatment of content, but done in such a way as to be matter-of-fact, non-offensive. The "embarrased" one who didn't like it is either a prude or woefully sheltered. Lot of real world truth here and treated in a commical manner.

Don't waste your $ not even when it come out on video! How did this make it to the theaters! CRUDE(yes), STUPID(yes), HUMOR(?)
Although teen girls behind us thought it was "cute". I wish the popcorn was not so good or I would have left sooner.

I went out with my girlfriend for this one, and we really enjoyed it. A rare point to this particular chick flick is that the woman is crazy, and that is not understated the way it frequently is in other films. The man is also clearly scarred from past relationships.
There is nothing really new, or amazing about this use of the formula, but I think this is certainly one of the more guy friendly chick flicks. Think 50 First Dates vs. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

It's a light-hearted romantic comedy that is completely predictable and silly, but it made me laugh. Sometimes you just need to watch a movie and know that it has a happy ending, no twists, no turns, no torture. Plain and simple guy falls in love with girl story is always perfect. But maybe if you're not into simple romantic comedies you should gave our $ for something else that is less predictable?

If you liked the Proposal, you will like this movie, too. Very good relationship movie and the leads played off each other very well. No, it's not Oscar material but a movie doesn't have to be a blockbuster to be fun to watch.
