Though he is the most-brilliant supervillain the world has known, Megamind (Will Ferrell) is the least-successful. Thwarted time and again by heroic Metro Man (Brad Pitt), Megamind is more surprised than anyone when he actually manages to defeat his longtime enemy. But without Metro Man, Megamind has no purpose in life, so he creates a new opponent, who quickly decides that it's more fun to be a bad guy than a hero.

CGI movies about superheroes have a high standard after The Incredibles came out. This was a bit of a challenge for a movie based on the formulated battles between a supervillain & superhero getting predictable & downright repetitive, but they pull it off fairly well.
There were plenty of rehashed ideas (Superman, Lois Lane, Brainiac, etc) & this movie won't be considered the pinnacle of cinematic history (half of the cast aren't convincing voice actors, predictable plot flow, and so on), but what made it stand out was the fact that it was a family movie that was actually funny. Yes it was a children's movie first & foremost, but humorous moments filled every scene.
Megamind was worth seeing once, but I don't know if I'd go out of my way to watch it again, let alone pay to see it again.

IF you have kids, or if you don't, go and see this relaxing, funny movie. But go early if you want a good seat. That show was packed!
