U have to be very relaxed to watch this movie...open minded so you can read the messages btw the lines...if u free your mind from all daily things and problems you can actually see yourself being in all those places with julia...u can feel and understand what she feels...saw it twice in the theaters!!!!

I had high expectations of this film. I enjoy learning about different cultures and lifestyles. Julia Roberts seems too old to be playing the role of disillusioned young bride. Beautiful scenery. Nice, rambling storyline.

I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. Having read the book I could not imagine how the movie would represent the story, but it was quite accurate and the acting was first class.
Great shots of locations and fun to watch. Entertaining aand not draggy.
