Very funny! A little bit of everything including a twist and thats always exciting. I would recommend it!

I absolutely loved this movie! Finally a movie that I wanted to see on the opening weekend. I downloaded the free 6 min. clip from iTunes and I knew I would be seeing this movie. Now, I can't wait for it to come out on DVD. I hope they make another one soon!!

I came to this movie without really knowing much about the original 1960s TV show. Maybe that's why I really liked it. To me, this was a fun, original move with a perfect cast.

It seems most complaints are that Max isn't dumb enough. This is a "re-imagination" people! It's not going to be exactly the same! Steve Carrell was excellent as always, I think the only legitimate criticism of his role is that he does play it a little too close to his Michael Scott role on The Office.

In this version of Get Smart, Max is incredibly book smart, but pretty inept in the street smarts department. He has his usual snafus and near misses, that with a little, okay, a lot of help from Agent 99, ends up saving the day.

The comedy was a good balance of slap-stick and verbal entendres reminiscent of Mel Brooks in his prime. Mel Brooks and Buck Henry created the original series, and receive character credit, but this is a whole new franchise.

This is a great, funny movie you won't feel embarrassed going with your parents or young relatives with. I actually really need to get my parents to see it and get their opinions. Maybe I'll see it with them to pick up any jokes I missed the first time.

This is a pretty good movie, plenty of action, neat gizmos, decent fight scenes, etc.

My only problem was that the whole movie seemed like "Michael Scott, Secret Agent." I think I've just been watching The Office too much lately.

Anyway, it's definitely worth seeing. Give it a go if you've got a free night.

But that does not mean that is was not just as funny as the series had been.

There had been tons of commercials for the movie in the months prior to the release which always annoys me because the commercials always show some of the best parts of the movie. Which kinda ruins the laugh factor when you have seen that bit a million times before actually watching the movie. But there were still some unexpected surprises that were really funny.

I said this when I say the first trailer for the movie and I still I was not disappointed, Steve Carrel was the best actor out there right now to play the role of Maxwell Smart and I love Anne Hathaway so I was happy to see her as Agent 99.

My only gripe with Steve Carrel's role as Max is that he knew what he was doing with almost every step, or that is to say meant to do what he did, which is very different than the Max from the series.

but the best thing about this movie was Patrick Warburton as Hymie because he is awesome!

This movie was funny and kinda nostalgic and I enjoyed it a lot.

I just saw a commercial yesterday for a DVD that about the adventures of Hymie that is coming out so I'm really excited to see that also.

It was amusing, It suffered from the plague that a lot of comedies suffer from, and that's enough of the good/funny parts are spoiled by the comercials/trailers. The movie would have probably been a lot more amusing had it not been every other commercial on TV for the last 6 months... And I don't even watch primetime TV.

It was WELL MADE and the cast was very fitting, my only gripe was how the characters were played. Steve Carrel carried the role of Maxwell Smart was too cool, less of a bumbling idiot that happened to fall into the right place at the wrong time and stop world destruction through an odd sequence of horribly unlikely coincidence as the original character had. Every thing Carrel's Agent 86 did he was very aware of, even when something happened by circumstance, he knew enough to take credit. While amusing, was not well received by me. Anne Hathaway as Agent 99 was a really perfect fit, but was written to be a real emotional "woman" rather than a hardened agent that'd seen the world inside and out. Not saying this movie should have been more serious by any means, but her role was extremely contradictory. She was one of the master agents of Control, and in some instances she did her "job" well, but it was mingled with too much steriotypical "womaness" that the role was too inconsistant and distracting. That coupled with her sheer attractiveness was enough distraction to confuse me at times. Luckily during the movie it kept me distracted enough to miss the meek attempt at romance between the leads, which I only really thought about in retrospect.

I personally would just wait for this to come on video. The big Screen gives you nothing. The action, while generally overshadowing the comedy, is not big enough to warrent a big screen,and you likely won't be laughing with the audience too much either.

If youwant to see it on the cheap, Just youtube all the trailers and you will have seen at least half the movie, and the good half at that.

Drama, Action, and Comedy, all in one; with emphasis on Comedy. Steve Carell did a great job as Maxwell Smart. Definitely a great movie. Not over-done, with a plot interesting enough to consider it more than just a string of jokes.
