As 18-year-old Jamal Malik (Dev Patel) answers questions on the Indian version of ``Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,'' flashbacks show how he got there. Part of a stable of young thieves after their mother dies, Jamal and his brother, Salim, survive on the streets of Mumbai. One must be brief when saying how fantastic this movie was! Why, because people just need to go out and see it. The cast of unknown actors present one of the most compelling and uplifting stories of this century. Why does a boy refuse to give up his dreams!

Seeing glimpses of the ills of other countries can't help but make me love and appreciate what I do have. An action fast paced movie showing the other side of India. A spoof on our game shows that no one would have ever thought possible. It is of course over the top but that is what I want in a movie or I would be just looking out my window instead of escaping into a movie. Worth seeing anytime.

The story feels a little over the top, which is probably want the director wants anyway. The visual and story telling is what make it engaging.
