After a short fling with a beautiful woman named Lila (Malin Akerman), Eddie (Ben Stiller), at the urging of his friends and family, proposes marriage. Unbeknownst to Eddie, Lila is a shrew, and she reveals her true nature during their honeymoon. Eddie then meets Miranda (Michelle Monaghan), and is convinced she is his true soulmate. Eddie sets out to woo Miranda and extricate himself from his wife's claws.

The movie has a good premise but poor execution, screenplay,
crude humor and wasted comic talent. Ben Stiller is Ed Cantrow, owner of a sporting goods store in San Francisco. A never married bachelor at 40, he rushes into an unwise marriage and falls in love with another girl on his honeymoon on a vacation beach in Mexico.
This is an easily forgettable movie.

Among the cavalcade of horrors that is the Farrelly Brothers' misbegotten remake of "The Heartbreak Kid" is a series of unforgettable sight gags, although you will certainly want to forget them. These gags are the sort that tend to induce retching rather than laughter. (Full review)
