After meeting Marni, an attractive publisher (Tara D'Agostino) who harbors a dark personal secret, gifted poet Jake Thompson (Jeff Stearns) becomes inspired to enter the Los Angeles Poetron, a prestigious competition with a publishing deal as its grand prize.
