Water (2006)

Set in the 1930s, 'Water' is the story of a young girl, Chuyia, who is widowed and sent to live in penitence in a widow's ashram. Her feisty presence begins to affect the lives of the other residents, including a young widow, who falls for a Gandhian idealist, forcing the widows to question their future and faith.
