The Flaming Lips (formed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1983) are an American rock band. Jan 02, 2011 - Cajunrocker on Lucinda Williams
Church

I went to church at the Viper Room
It was a cold and windy New Year's Eve
There was a singer from Lake Charles, Louisiana
I was home and I didn't ever want to leave

Honey was dripping out of her voice
while she looked like she needed to comb her hair
She was tearing me up with some song called Buttercup
Heaven sounds were coming off that stage
She was coming down on me like a warm, Louisiana rain
Takin me to Shangri-La, you just had to be there....

(a song I wrote last nite for Lucinda, unkn Santa Barbara songwriter)

Guns 'n DURRRRRRRRRRR....

The only good thing to come out of GnR was the smell of Mike Patton's feces cooking in their microwave.

GnR makes me flaccid. It angers me that there was a time in history where that rabid chihuahua of a human being, Axle Rose, was considered a "singer". If you ask me, I think an "axle rose" is a euphamism for an animal that got stuck on a car after getting run over. Which coincidentally is exactly what his voice sounds like....

God I wish he and his lame band overdosed while they were still an opening act.

A Singer-Songwriter Who Really Is

Typically, "singer-songwriter" translates: "if you think is dull and whiny, it's because you hate Art." But with McLachlan, well, if you don't like her, you probably don't realize you're on the 1n7urn37, n00b20r2.

A Rock Icon

Neil Young has been cranking out great rock 'n roll since the 1960s. He's mellowed in his later years, but what do you expect?

Nov 14, 2007 - Sylar on The Flaming Lips
These guys have an amazing stage show.

I saw them a couple days before New Years '07. It was wonderful, they had a new years countdown for us since we weren't gonna be at the new years show, lots of beautiful music, confetti - the works.

Also, the lighting system is a giant UFO, and the lead singer enters the stage in a giant balloon freedom ball thing! They win the universe.

Don't Miss This
