Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre

Extensively renovated in 2003, the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre is a multiporpuse state-of-the-art, 1455-seat facility. With its 60 by 35 foot proscenium, enhanced acoustics and sound capabilities, and new lighting and fly systems, the concert theatre is the premiere performance space at WVU and in north central West Virginia.

Occasionally, we will produce a large dramatic piece in this theatre such as the 2002 performance of It’s a Wonderful Life. This theatre also hosts the Arts and Entertainment series that brings in tours of Broadway shows, concert artists, and other performing groups.
