Native People, Native Plants, a talk by Cait Hutnik
Before the arrival of Europeans, California's native people developed a sophisticated lifestyle wholly dependent on their environment. In addition to abundant wildlife resources, California's diverse ecological zones supported a multitude of trees, shrubs, and plants used by native people as food, medicine or construction material. Interpretive trail guide and photographer Cait Hutnik will present an overview of uses of native plants commonly found in Santa Clara Valley.
