Welcome to the Monterey County Fairgrounds! Tucked away in the sunbelt of the Monterey Peninsula under a canopy of oak trees. In Monterey you can enjoy the many events held at the fairgrounds throughout the year. Home to the Monterey County Fair, you are invited to bring the family to experience the fun, food, entertainment and excitement the Monterey County Fair has to offer. The fair celebrates its 70th year August 15-20, 2006.

The Monterey County Fairgrounds also hosts the world renowned Monterey Jazz Festival, a favorite since 1958; the annual Monterey Bay Blues Festival; major horse shows and several other events. And if the excitement of horse racing is what you are looking for, come and place your bets at the Monterey Bay Race Place.

The Fairground's idyllic setting is perfect for company parties, family reunions, wedding receptions and gatherings at any one of its eight buildings. Put on a concert at one of three outdoor stage arenas, or for a more intimate gathering, sit back and relax by the large stone fireplace and patio at the Turf Club. And you can extend your stay overnight with our recreational vehicle parking rental.
