Ensemble Monterey Chamber Orchestra opens its nineteenth season with a concert of intimate trios called Three’s Great Company!
The concert features five trios, each of a distinctively different mood and style: Debussy’s lovely Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp, Jolivet’s Pastorales de Noël, a jazz-inspired Trio by American composer Wilder, a Suite for Oboe, Clarinet & Viola by Thompson, and the haunting “And Then I Knew ‘twas Wind”, by Japan’s Takemitsu.
