Dot Stacy was sworn in as a CASA volunteer with the first class in Monroe County in 1997.… Show more She became director of the CASA program in 2001. Her dream was to provide a CASA volunteer for every abused child in the court system. Under her leadership, the program grew, enabling hundreds of children to be served. In addition, she volunteered her time and expertise to a number of community organizations and activities that addressed the needs of children at risk. She is being reccognized for her steadfast, effective and compassionate advocacy.
