Founded in 1952 by the revered Amalia Hernandez, Ballet Folklorico de Mexico is quite simply the most honored ballet folklorico troupe in the world. The company has received more than 200 awards and has appeared in more than 5,000 performances. The music, dance and costume sof Mexican folklore, combined with the talent of their artists, have resulted in icon status in Mexico and well-deserved international acclaim.
