Tuolumne River Park, Modesto: Run or walk the 1-mile or 5K. Courses are on shady paved path along Tuolumne River. There's also a FREE kids fun run. Medals 3 deep in 10-year age groups in 1-mile; medals 3 deep in 5-year age groups in 5K. Prize money in 5K, too. Great way to start the Memorial Day Weekend! Events benefit the Modesto Vet Center, which helps returning combat veterans and their families.
