Grizzly Experience

The Grizzly Experience show and exhibit brings you up close and personal with live grizzly bears. The exhibit allows you to look into the life of North Americas' most prestigious predator, the Alaskan Grizzly Bear. The exhibit features three bears: Tonk is a seven year-old, 600-pound Grizzly Bear and is joined by Yogi and BooBoo, two one-and-a-half-year-old cubs, weighing about 150 pounds each. The trio will delight crowds of all ages with their impressive sizes and amazing behaviors.
Throughout… Show more the day visitors will watch Tonk and the cubs interacting with their handler and show the amazing bond between Grizzly and man. During the daily shows Tonk will perform many of his natural behaviors and we will talk about bear safety, what to do if you encounter a bear in the wild, the bear species living in North America, and the magic of how bears are trained for the movies.
The Exploreum will host Grizzly Experience December 27, 2012, to January 5, 2013. The bears will be on view during regular business hours and perform three shows daily. Opening day, December 27, shows are scheduled for 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. December 28 through January 5 shows are scheduled daily at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Non-members may purchase advance tickets for Grizzly Experience at right for the day and time of your choice.
Pricing:
Tickets are $14.50/adult non-member, $12.50 youth/senior non-member, and $12.00/child non-member.
Member pricing is $2.50 each for adults, youth, seniors and children and can be purchase at the Exploreum box office.
