Michael Paul - "From the Middle of the Floor"
The images in this show are inspired by the landscape surrounding Michael Paul's home in North Dakota - a place referred to as the "floor of the sky." Paul’s paintings seek to capture the exquisite and sometimes elusive qualities of the seemingly ordinary and mostly rural landscape of his daily life: a tranquil and stoic farmhouse at sunset; identical silos lining a road in fall; a lonely, low-lying butte against a long, lavender sky.
