For beginners and experienced performers, this energetic dance class explores the combination of hip hop dance and burlesque. Theories of movement quality are explored through warm ups, across the floor exercises and a choreographed combination featuring various dance genres, including hip hop, jazz, popnlock and bumpngrind.

Angelique DeVil is the girl who "puts the pop-n-lock in the "bump-n-grind". Born and raised in North Dakota/Minnesota, she now calls Portland, OR, home and is nationally known for her neo burlesque and unique choreography. After competing in the Best Debut category at BHOF 2011, Angelique went on to perform in the Dallas Burlesque Festival, Tease O Rama, and the New Orleans Burlesque Festival.
She has danced on numerous stages in New York City, San Francisco, Dallas, Seattle and Portland had the honor of teaching her hip hop burlesque dance class, Strip Hop, at Burlycon 2012. This is her first time performing burlesque in her home state and she is thrilled to be a Feature Teacher and performing at the Minneapolis Burlesque Festival.
