COPLAND Rodeo (selections) Copland A Lincoln Portrait, Finale Ives Variations on America Bernstein Divertimento for Orchestra (selections)
Hear music by the composers who created America's sound! Highlights include Copland's lively Rodeo and always-moving A Lincoln Portrait, along with great music by Leonard Bernstein and others. We'll select a voice student to join the Orchestra as soloist for the national anthem, and we'll close with a stirring finale that features several area high school choirs: Steve Heitzeg's powerful Together, Divided we are Nothing-based on unforgettable speeches by Robert F. Kennedy.
