Grammy nominated and platinum-selling recording artists, Jonas Brothers, today announced the dates and cities for "The Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009." The tour, which will take the band to three continents, will feature new music taken from the June 15 worldwide release of their upcoming Hollywood Records album. "The Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009," presented by Burger King(R), kicks off in Dallas at New Cowboys Stadium on June 20 and will take the band throughout the United States and Canada. In addition to their 44-city North American trek, Jonas Brothers will also play three European dates including recently sold-out shows at Paris' Zenith Arena and London's Wembley Arena plus a just-added date at Madrid's Palacio De Deportes. Additional European shows will be announced soon along with debut tour dates in South America. "The Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009" is produced by Live Nation.
On Monday, March 16, Team Jonas fan club members in select cities will have the first opportunity to buy tickets to the summer tour. "The Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009" will present the band's most ambitious production yet and will include a massive 140-foot plus stage centered in the arena that aims to give a larger number of Jonas Brothers fans a closer, more interactive live concert than they've ever experienced before. The show will feature cutting edge technology used in a one-of-a-kind circular water screen, multi-color laser effects, motion automated video screens, a giant crane levitating over the audience plus other surprises that will bring the tour to the next level of concert entertainment.

The Jonas Brothers became a pop music phenomenon in 2008 with the release of their platinum-selling album, A Little Bit Longer, and two tours that earned the band a spot among the top selling tours of the year. Thats the whole goal with the look. People can argue otherwise, but Disney knows how to sell people, and at this point in time, thats emo.
Everyone who seems to argue this is missing the key tenant of any Disney property, and that is that if they would make enough money off of it, they would even stage an upset with people over their own morality clause over what is obviously PG 13 ala Hanna Montana.

The Jonas Brothers are one of a kind. They are not emo by any means. They are a strong rock/pop band that is contagious after you hear one of their song on the radio. I am going to this event, and i recommend it to any one who loves good music. These boys grew up in a very strong christian home, wear Purity Rings, and about every girl in America is in love with them. I repeat.. TEHY ARE NOT EMO!!!!!!! Emo people scream into the microphones, and sing about dying and cutting themselves. In this case, these boys do not do that. They are not emo. They are POP/ROCK. Not any of that emo scremo crap. Just go to youtube and watch some of their videos. You will soon find out why thier tickets to every event they are at, is sold out in less then 5 minutes.

No, there's not much here we've haven't seen before. It isn't about us. It's about Disney. While many of the company's other works (e.g. Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid) maintain a relatively timeless appeal, pop stars must be forever young, and kids today know Justin Timberlake as some old guy with a shaved head, Britney as a tragedy, the Backstreet Boys and N'Sync as... who?

This looks like an Emo version of Hanson.
By that I mean Hanson had the looks of a kiddie hair band, and were emo. Maybe these kids look Emo and will act like an 80's hair band? This could be pretty funny...
