The Alternate Routes are a young rock band out of Bridgeport, Connecticut formed by Tim Warren and Eric Donnelly in 2002 while studying at Fairfield University. The band recorded their debut album entitled Good and Reckless and True in Nashville in 2005.
The record gained national publicity and critical acclaim: Bullz.Eye.com rated it their Top Album of 2005, and the song "Ordinary" won Best Song in the Pop/Rock Category at the 2006 Independent Music Awards. "Ordinary" is also featured in the upcoming indie film The Other Side of the Tracks. Various episodes of MTV's The Hills featured songs from the album in 2007, including "Endless Conversation", "Are You Lonely?", and "Who Cares?" "Aftermath" was featured on MTV's Laguna Beach.
Jonathan Tyler and The Northern Lights is composed of JT on lead vocals and lead guitar, Nick to the Jay on bass and additional vocals, Jordan Cain, on drums, Kansas on rhythm guitar and Mo Brown on additional vocals and tambourine. The band has opened for Chicago, Kool and the Gang, and Leon Russell.
