at Bradley Center, Milwaukee, WI
Price: $58.00, $68.00
Age Suitability: All Ages

Nine-time Grammy winner Sheryl Crow will hit the road again this July, bringing the songs of her acclaimed new album, 'Detours, to Life.' Helping her heat up the stage will be British singer/songwriter James Blunt and reggae legends Toots & the Maytals.

ames Blunt is an English singer-songwriter whose debut album, Back to Bedlam, and single releases — especially the number one hit "You're Beautiful" — brought him to fame in 2005. His style is a mix of pop, rock and folk. Along with vocals, James Blunt performs a variety of instruments, including piano and guitar.

Toots and the Maytals are one of the best known SKA and reggae vocal groups. Their sound is a unique, original combination of gospel, SKA, soul, reggae and rock.

Says Crow, "I can't wait to get out this summer, and I'm thrilled to have James Blunt and Toots & the Maytals with me. James puts on a great show, and there is no one better for a summer tour than Toots & the Maytals. It's going to be a blast."

Sheryl Crow's fresh, updated spin on classic roots rock made her one of the most popular mainstream rockers of the '90s. Her albums were loose and eclectic on the surface, yet were generally tied together by polished, professional songcraft.

That review seems a bit harsh, Sheryl Crow was overplayed but no pop star gets their due without fans

She is a great songwriter and her music has been played by countless other artists before she decided to strike out on her own. I agree, I don't care for her voice and she got too much air time as far as I'm concerned but her talent can't be denied, a great pop song writer and lyricist worth catching if you have the chance.

Not a fan...

I've always felt Crow was a bit overplayed and that she really didn't bring anything new to the scene. To that end, anything she ever did I found remotely good were covers of already successful bands. I actually had to struggle to remember who she was before writing this, and when I played myself something to remember, it was something akin to a vomit burp.

Great singer, songwriter.

His first album 'Back to Bedlam' is fabulous, 'no bravery' is the best anti-war song ever. Songs like 'Goodbye my lover' really touch hearts. His second one is another treasure. And he has a great sense of humor. Can't wait to hear more from him.
