Lasso of Truth by Carson Kreitzer
Known for her “muscular and sharp” (CityBeat) writing, Kreitzer traces the origin and impact of Wonder Woman through the life of her creator, William Marston. The early 20th-century psychologist and father of the modern lie detector modeled his heroine on two women – his wife and his student – both of whom he lived with in a polyamorous relationship.
In this multimedia theatrical experience, a contemporary young woman questions the history behind the feminist icon and her unorthodox inventor.
