Devil Moon, Paintings and Monotypes by Robert Gumpertz
Robert Gumpertz’ work as a cartoonist has appeared in Playboy, Penthouse, Paris Match, London's Punch and the San Francisco Chronicle.
While his commerical work was appearing world-wide he began working on small fine art paintings, drawings and prints. With his love of color and texture the transition from cartoonist to painter came about naturally. He carries on in the tradition of George Grosz and William Gopper, other cartoonists who turned to painting.
