Todd Morgan's performance career started when just ten years old as a gun spinner on a stage in Old Sacramento during its' annual Gold Rush Days event. I suppose he was destined to be a stage performer, it was in his blood, since his great Uncle and Aunt had been part of the great tradition of Vaudeville. Nowadays, though still on a stage, you'll find Todd's fingers flying around the keyboard, not spinning guns much anymore. Since 2007, they've been delighting audiences with their sound and performance style.
Todd's original music takes elements from every faction and every era of American music from 1920's/30's Jazz to present-day Pop and Rock, and everything in between, creating a familiar, yet fresh and modern sound. Their emphasis is not only on the music and lyrics, but also on visual performance, with Todd's dancing. The band consists of four musicians, two as soloist, Todd on Piano/Lead Vocals/guitar and Jerad Williams, Lead Guitar/Backup Vocals. The backbone of the rhythm is provided by Jessica Luna on Bass, and Cameron Womack on Drums. Together, the band gives their audiences a show to remember. With beginnings as a 50's Rock & Roll band, they are able to excite a wide range of audiences. All this and Todd's distinct, exciting and informed vocal and performance style, Jerad's energetic solos, and Jessica and Cameron's backing, the band gives a stand out show.
With the recent release of their 2nd album, Reality, in the summer of 2012, which consists of 11 songs, 10 originals and one cover, Crazy Cryin Blues, a remix of a 1927 song by Blues artist, Memphis Minnie, which is met with colossal live audience approval! This new album takes on a new direction musically from their 1st self-titled album, which released in 2009, having a much more modern approach and sound this time around, as opposed to the heavy influence from the 50's Rock & Roll on that first release. But fear not fans of those early tunes, you will still receive a filling dose as those songs as they are intermingled with the exciting new Pop/Rock/Alternative sound.
