Chairman, LDJ Capital and The Soho Loft
David Drake is an early-stage equity expert and the founder and chairman of LDJ Capital, a New York City-based family office, and The Soho Loft Media Group - The Voice of Capital Formation - a global financial media company with three divisions: Victoria Global Corporate Communications, Times Impact Publications, and The Soho Loft Conferences with 200+ annual global summits and talks on finance and investments.
Mr. Drake has been involved in technology, media and telecom (TMT) and impact investments for more than 20 years. He is an advocate of innovative investing in early-stage equity, capital formation policies and developments globally, and the Us Jobs Act which he lobbied for both in Congress and the Eu Commission. Because of his leading work in this space, he was a Us Commerce Department delegate to the Eu Commission in Brussels and Rome in July 2012 and was invited in May 2013 to the White House Champions of Change ceremony in Washington, D.C.
His investment, The Soho Loft Group, produces and sponsors 200+ global conferences annually and his articles are syndicated into 100+ publications. One such event was April 2013 for the institutional media leader Thomson Reuters, with speakers from Nasdaq, Nyse, KKR and Carlyle Group. He advances financial innovation through his work as an international speaker and writer for major publications like WSJ, Forbes and Thomson Reuters. He is the co-author of the books Planet Entrepreneur, Crowdfunding and Other Animals, Investors of Italy and is the author of the upcoming books Crowd Fund Economics, and The Sppice of Crowdfunding .
Previously, Mr. Drake has acted as general partners in fund-of-funds, realty funds, venture capital funds, seed-funds and hedge funds. Mr. Drake’s holdings have media partnership with the European Business Angel Network and Angel Capital Association of North America. He sits on 4 angel networks and has co-founded two angel networks.
His focus today is to take on board advisory positions at companies, angel networks and venture funds, and to guide them on topics such as international regulations, corporate strategy and fund structures, with emphasis on the growing trend of online investment automation for retail and angel investors.
Privately, Mr. Drake has hosted the Harvard Business Club of NY at his home, produced Carnegie Hall concerts and raised funds for the charities Trail Blazers and Best Buddies Carnegie Hall for many years. Today he is a board director of the Ubs Charity of the Year, London-based Archive Global, and is co-chair of the Tree Kangaroo Foundation in New York.
Born in Sweden and fluent in six languages, Mr. Drake has an MBA in Finance and an Ma in International Law and Economics from George Washington University, where he was awarded the Wallenberg Scholarship for academic Merit.

David Halabu is the founder and CEO of Yield Crowd. His responsibilities involve operations, strategic relationships, investor relations, as well as setting corporate strategy.
David has spent 13 years as managing partner of Naneva Capital, an actively managed, private company focused on alternative investments including by not limited to distressed real estate notes, bridge lending, value add real estate situations, and asset/ stock based lending. Prior to Naneva, he ran a proprietary equity trading group as head trader and risk manager for a division of Sungard Data Systems.
He is active in several organizations in Miami,FL and Detroit,MI. David Holds a series 7,24,55,63, insurance license, and is a member of Caia (Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst). He is a graduate of Tulane University and lives on Miami Beach with his wife and 3 children.

President, New World Angels
Rhys L. Williams is the president of the New World Angels, which he co-founded in December of 2003. Since 2005, the group of 35 accredited investors has made nine investments in South Florida-based companies, mainly in the tech space. Investments of $500K are made in financing rounds that generally total between $500K and $3MM. The fund also has made nine follow-on investments in some of those companies.

Zachary A. Cherry brings more than ten years of comprehensive finance, investment and strategic advisory experience to the Caerus team. Over the course of a decade on Wall Street, he has developed an acute proficiency in qualitative and quantitative analytics, negotiation as well as complex transaction structuring.
In 1997, Mr. Cherry began a successful career on Wall Street as a Financial Analyst in Salomon Brother’s Investment Banking Division. He acquired both domestic and international, corporate finance and broad market experience, working in Salomon’s New York and London Offices. In 1999 Cherry joined Neuberger Berman as an Equities Analyst. In his 6 years at Neuberger, Zachary ascended to Senior Lodging & Leisure Analyst, formulating proprietary investment ideas for recommendation to Neuberger’s portfolio management team. He went on to found Cherry Capital LLC, a boutique strategic and finance advisory firm facilitating financing, development and investment across an expansive array of industries.
Cherry graduated from Brown University in May 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics. Mr. Cherry currently serves as Chief Operating Office of Chadwick’s Products LLC and as a Special Advisor for Inmoo.

Melissa has a twenty-year history of starting, growing and advising private companies and non-profit organizations and is a frequent speaker on the topic of business plan development.
Considered an expert in the field of business planning and entrepreneurship, Melissa has led business plan and capital raising seminars as well as judged business plan competitions for, executives, investors, students, and nonprofit organizations across the country – including Cisco Systems, Columbia University, Ibm, Independent Sector, MeadWestvaco, New York Angels, New York Software Industry Association, New York University, Northern Trust, Office Depot, Social Enterprise Alliance, Women Presidents' Organization, The Miami Herald, The World Bank, and Yale University.
Since 1998, Melissa has worked with over 800 companies that have raised approximately $1 billion in investment capital using business plans developed by Venture Architects. Prior to launching Venture Architects, Melissa was recruited as the President of Tyber USA, the Us subsidiary of a European fabric manufacturer and fashion company, where she was responsible for its full P&L start-up activities – including the organization of its import and distribution system, negotiation of an international licensing agreement, and the management of its sales, marketing and public relations efforts.
Melissa also played a key role in the strategic planning and launch of three national nonprofit organizations. Melissa created social marketing programs with several Fortune 500 corporations for Do Something and developed national management and leadership seminars with world-renowned experts for the Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management. Melissa began her career at The Points of Light Foundation where she co-organized a White House-sponsored, multi-city community service celebration.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University. She currently serves as a board member of The Miami Foundation, Ransom-Everglades School Alumni Board and Locust Projects.

O'Donnell founded Ask-Me Multimedia (acquired by Midisoft), iCopyright.com (ongoing), StartupBiz.com (ongoing), and Leaves, Inc., among other companies. He was on the launch teams of CompuServe Sprynet, one of the first national Internet Service Providers (went public as part of CompuServe in 1996), and Design Intelligence (acquired by Microsoft). O'Donnell is the author of two best-selling books on business planning and marketing planning, and served as Chairman of the Northwest Entrepreneurs Network in Seattle, Washington. He blogs about startup best practices on StartupBiz.com and served as the Managing Director of the Tampa Chapter of The Founder Institute, the world’s largest accelerator of tech startup companies. He ran two programs for Startup Quest in South Florida and currently serves as a Managing Director of Thesis Ventures in Fort Lauderdale, an early-stage venture fund and company builder.
