Phoenix has uncovered a startling finding. The entire state of AZ, with it's multitude of Mexican Restaurants finally has an awesome alternative: Blue Adobe Santa Fe Grille . When asked, "What is Award Winning Cuisine of Santa Fe or New Mexico comprised of?" Answer: Fresh and properly prepared "Green Chili's" and a spectacularly comprised menu is the true answer. All Mexican food generally contains chili's, sure, but no chili's so revered as the special fruits propagated in the Albuquerque area. In fact, NM grows more green chili's than any other place of the world, and of an unparalleled quality. More than a dozen varieties are cultivated there, ranging from mild tam jalapeos to medium Mexi-bells to Sandia. Serrano's are even hotter, and then there are the hotter-than-hell barkers and Santa Fe Grandes. Supposedly, the sun-soaked fields, the mild climate and the abundant water from the Rio Grande make these chili's the most flavorful to be found anywhere.
All of which leads us to the Blue Adobe Grille in Mesa and Scottsdale. The siren song of New Mexico's chilis was enough to seduce owners, Paul Bigelow and Jose Leyva, to embark in this specialty restaurant and became convinced that recipes would bring them a valley following rivaling the Pied Piper. The idea appears to have paid off. On any given day, Blue Adobe Grille is buzzing with the feel-good sounds of a clientele pleased to have discovered quality food, comfortable ambiance and a neighborhood place with a kick-back attitude. The Blue Adobe Grille offers many culinary surprises and isn't the roller-coaster ride of heat and spices you would expect from New Mexican food, and is a very welcome addition to the Valley's growing collection of "South of the Border" treats!
