48th Annual Trustees' Scholarship Ball

Join us on Saturday, April 27 for an elegant evening of fine dining and excellent entertainment at the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza in Merrilliville,Indiana. There will be a raffle drawing at 10:00 p.m. for the grand prize of $2,000 and 16 additional prizes.
The evening starts with an open bar cocktail hour at 6:00 p.m., with guests being treated to violin music by the talents of Artistrings. Passed hors d'oeuvres include wild mushroom and brie on french bread with a balsamic reduction, vanilla bean… Show more poached shrimp on a porcelain spoon, and dates stuffed with goat cheese.
Dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. with a salad of red oak lettuce, carmelized granny apples, fresh seasonal berries, candied pecans and Marscapone cheese. To clear the palette, a lemon sorbet intermezzo with mint leaf follows. Dinner music is provided by Artistrings.
For the entree, guests may choose from the following options:
Combination Plate: Seared Filet Mignon with Crimini Mushroom-Cabernet Demi Glace and Roasted Chicken Skewer with Peppers
Fish Option: Shrimp Stuffed Tilapia with Lemon Crème Sauce
Vegetarian Option: Roasted Vegetables with Wild Mushroom Duxelle baked in a Flaky Puff Pastry served with a Red Pepper Coulis
Each option comes with roasted tomato basil mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus with fresh lemon zest.
Dessert will be a Baked Alaska Parade that you will not forget!
After dinner there is a brief program, followed by dance music provided by Chicago's Phase4 Band. Our guests have not been able to stay off the dance floor when Phase4 starts playing!
Dress is black tie preferred. Raffle tickets are available to purchase prior to the event. Winner need not be present. Advertising is available in the Program Book. All proceeds benefit student scholarships at Calumet College of St. Joseph.
