Al Burt Literary Festival

The Al Burt Literary Festival remembers Melrose’s favorite literary citizen with a reception and awards ceremony at the Melrose Public Library. Prof. Emeritus Jean Carver Chance will base her presentation on an oral history of Al which she recorded. Gloria Burt will present awards to winners of the Write Like Al contest. Dr. Jim Cusick will present a display from the UF Libraries Al Burt Collection.

The new Melrose area literary map will be unveiled at the festival.
