Escape from Behind Enemy Lines…Operation Bonaparte
This program recounts the story of the World War II escape network that allowed the French Resistance to return 136 downed U.S. flyers to England. Feingold uses wartime letters, maps, photos, and official U.S. Army declassified documents to explain the experience of his father Lt. Louis Feingold who escaped capture after his B-17 was shot down over enemy occupied France in 1943. This program is funded by the James and Pauline Hackbarth Foundation.
