Eathquakes: How to Predict Them and How to Respond
St. Louis University has been monitoring earthquakes since the installation of the first seismograph in 1909. Research has joined with modern technology to help determine the type of earthquake, the effect of that earthquake, & how to rapidly respond to a disaster. Dr. Robert B. Herrmann, professor of Geophysics at St. Louis University, will share how the use of digitally recording sensors in seven states is being used to locate & estimate the effects of an earthquake & how to respond.
