We had our wedding in September ’07--This place is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful columns and chandeliers to see, but has the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life. Days went by before I was able to get any response, when I gave it one last try I finally got a hold of Gretchen one of the employee, of course she was nice and helpful until we made our payment and I think her job was done in her unethical mind after this.
So know since it was confirmed that I got the place I received calls back to back for no reason from the rep that never returned my messages after he realized he lost the sale (but I wish I dealt w/him instead of the one that I had) the so called owner called and Gretchen as well just to make sure that the sale wasn’t taken form anyone. I was concerned as to why I get all those calls when they could’ve dealt with it amongst themselves… I proved myself right at the end because it was clear that this was no professional way to handle it. That was the last I heard from them. They tell you what you want to hear to make your wedding day perfect until they get your check and cash it. I had to call from my own walk through before our wedding day, one of my bridesmaid did the walk through for me and since she was planning her own wedding in June ’09 she wanted to see the place and book it… it didn’t take her long to change her mind it was a disbelief for her that such a beautiful place & with the amount of money they charge they choose to have an unfriendly and untrained person represent them. Oh! Forgot to mention that I was assured upon signing our contract that I would get all these calls, reminders and follow ups from her as the wedding day approaches, this was a lie. They kept our down payment didn’t get any phone calls or letter and the worst part was that when we call about the status nobody seems to know what the decision was.
I’m not trying to prevent anyone from having their wedding at this place but just trying to inform couples to be fully aware of the situation don't be sucked into the glitz and glamour they offer you before they get your money. Thank God our wedding went as planned smooth and beautiful! The rep’s rudeness, disrespectful manners & unprofessional ways didn’t prevent us from enjoying our beautiful wedding. God is greater than all of their nonsense.
I hope the place gets sold and have a better management!

We got married at Fox Chase Manor on September 8th. The facility itself is gorgeous and its big which is why we chose it. The staff leaves something to be desired with their lack of prompt response leading up to the event, the initial walk thru where they couldnt answer most of the questions we asked, and following the event the attitude they had when we questioned fees charged against our deposit.
Per the contract Fox Chase has 30 days to refund the deposit. And boy do they take full advantage of that right. They waited until the 30th day to refund the deposit, but not in full. They did not think it would be good customer service to let us know promptly after the wedding that they would be charging us a $100 fee for a stain. Not only did they not tell us about the fee, they have no proof there was a stain (no pictures, even though they said before the wedding that they take pictures), they did a final walk thru after we had all left but did not tell anyone a walk thru would take place. When I spoke with Gretchen, who was extremely rude. She said she thinks its common sense for me to just know they would be doing a walk thru following the event (even though it is not in the contract) and if I wanted to stick around after my wedding then I should have. I explained that this was a horrible way to run a business and would like to speak with her supervisor, she informed me that the supervisor was a "private owner" and would not give me their names or contact information. She said they would call me but it has been 2 weeks. I have since called to follow up and sent an email but still nothing.
Also, I have since found out this property is for sale. I'd be very nervous that the business gets sold and you no longer have a reception facility for your wedding.
I would not recommend anyone have their event here. They risk being taken advantage of and dealing with rude people which is the last thing any bride wants.
